Mississippi State Level Science and Engineering Fair (MSEF)

Location: JSU Campus, Jackson, Mississippi

Hosted by Jackson State University

The Mississippi State Level Science and Engineering Fair is hosted annually by one of seven regional host institutions.

Eligibility

• Only grades 7-12 participants from regional fairs can participate in the State Level Fair.
• Participation is limited to those placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each category including those designated as Regional Fair Regeneron ISEF Finalists or Alternates.
• All eligible MSEF Regional Fair participants from affiliated fairs are expected to participate in the State Fair.

Registration   
Registration for the Mississippi State Science and Engineering Fair will be processed directly by each Regional Fair Director. The original regional fair registration form (with attachments) for each person eligible to enter the State Fair will be forwarded to the State Fair Director for processing.

All teachers will receive an email with more information as soon as the Region VII MSEF receives it from the State Fair host.

International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)

May 10-16, 2025
Columbus, Ohio

The International Science and Engineering Fair welcomes Best of Fair Finalists from the regional fairs and Best of State from the state fair will advance to the International Fair. More details regarding paperwork and logistics will be provided to those finalists at the completion of the fair where the award was received.

Note: Only students named Best of Fair or Best of State are eligible to attend. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place category winners from the State Fair are NOT eligible to participate at the international level.
