College and Career Preparation
College and Career Preparation begins long before a student's senior year. For anyone, the process can be intimidating for even those parents and students who are familiar with a university system.
The information below can help you make the most informed choice possible.
Online Guide for College Planning
The ACT website on College Planning contains great information for students and parents as they begin this process. Especially helpful is the College Planning Checklist which includes plans for each of the four high school years.
Career Planning
In a partnership with the services provided on the main campus, the UM ISHS can arrange for career planning with the UM Career Center. Please email or call the UM ISHS office to discuss this possibility. (This opportunity is provided to current UM ISHS students only.)
Connections with Colleges and Universities
Most schools advise students to start looking into university requirements in the junior year of coursework. Most colleges and universities post admissions requirements online. The requirements for The University of Mississippi are available online.
