Wisdom from the Wiki

The cultural development of what is present-day Bolivia is divided into three distinct periods: pre-Columbian, colonial, and republican. Important archaeological ruins, gold and silver ornaments, stone monuments, ceramics, and weavings remain from several important pre-Columbian cultures. Major ruins include Tiwanaku, Samaipata, Incallajta, and Iskanawaya. MORE

UM PARTNER PROGRAMS IN BOLIVIA

The University of Mississippi has approved partner programs in which students may participate. These partner programs allow students to study at sites which may not be available through exchanges. Some also offer unique programs that are tailored to particular academic or career interests. Ole Miss students who study on approved partner programs remain enrolled as University of Mississippi students while abroad and receive UM credit.

UM SHORT-TERM PROGRAMS

Through our short-term programs you can spend summer or winter abroad. We offer programs at long as 6 weeks and as short as 2. You can earn 3, 6, or 9 hours in many business, liberal arts, and applied sciences courses.

The advantages of a Faculty-Led Program are that you can take 3 hours of credit in 3 weeks or 6 hours in 4 weeks while visiting a new country. Because courses are offered during winter and summer terms, you won’t miss any semester requirements – plus, spending time with a professor abroad may help you garner a good recommendation for graduate school or a job.  Wintersession courses will be posted in September.

We also offer short-term programs through our partner listed above.
