Important Dates to Remember

Becoming a Study Abroad Faculty Member is more than just teaching a two- or four-week course. In actuality, it's a year-long commitment to help in the planning and recruitment of a program as well as serving in a faculty and advisory role during your time abroad with students, and completing tasks required by the University at the conclusion of your program.

Please mark the followng dates on your calendar to remind you of days and events required of Study Abroad Faculty.

Summer 2008

September 13 Course Proposals due in Study Abroad Office
October 25 Study Abroad Office announces courses selected for Winter 2008 term
Dec. 10 Faculty Planning Meeting to provide you with information regarding planning and recruiting for Study Abroad Program as well as university policies and regulations regarding Study Abroad.
January 2 Program logistics finalized and final course syllabus due from professor
Janaury 22 Recruiting begins on first day of fall semester
March 6 Study Abroad Open House
March 19 Study Abroad Scholarship Deadline
April 3 Study Abroad Summer Deadline
April 9 and 10 Faculty Orientation
April 14-18 Program Orientation
April 14 Pre-departure Packets distributed
May 14-August 18 Summer Term 2008 (exact dates to be determined by professor and advisor)
September 5 Program review due
September 15 Grades due in Study Abroad Office
September 13

Intent to repeat a course or new course proposal due

 

Winter 2009

March 26 Study Abroad Office announces courses selected for Winter 2009 term
