It is Mexico's 4th largest city and a strong industrial center. Puebla has onyx quarries, cotton mills, produces textiles, pottery, and has a Volkswagen factory that produces cars bound for all points in North America. Also known for colonial architecture, cuisine and Talavera ceramics, in Puebla you will find a piece of the old world in the new.


Program Highlights

  • Students who obtain a basic or intermediate level on the Spanish Placement Exam will only be allowed to take content courses in English and or/courses to learn Spanish.
  • Classes taught in English include the areas of engineering, business, public policy, and mathematics.
  • Apply for an OAS scholarship to defray the cost of studying abroad.

Student fees are based on the cost of tuition at the University of Mississippi plus Study Abroad Fees. For the Spring 2009 semester, Mississippi residents were charged $3803 and non-residents were charged $7484.
