Recreation Minor course of study now available through iStudy
Courses are available in Fall, Second Fall, Spring, Second Spring, Full Summer, and Flex-Year sessions.
An entire minor course of study is now available from the School of Applied Sciences and the Health, Exercise Science, and Recreation Management Department through Independent Study (iStudy). This minor is the first full minor offered by the University of Mississippi through this format.
The six courses for the Recreation Minor now available through the iStudy option are below:
SRA 194 – Foundations of Leisure and Recreation
SRA 200 – Park and Recreation Program Leadership
SRA 332 – Outdoor Recreation
SRA 371 – Camp Leadership
SRA 375 – Recreational Sports Programming
SRA 380 – Current Issues in Travel and Tourism Management
The semester-based format operates on a self-paced schedule with midterm and the end of the course as the only deadlines. The Flex-Year option offers a calendar year deadline to complete the course.
