Professor Corban is a historian of the second World War in Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Atlantic. He was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, and, after a decade in universities across New York, the United States, and Europe, he is thrilled to be back in the classroom with the students of the University of Mississippi.
He is looking forward to travelling to New Orleans and exploring the history of the second World War in the South in May!
“We are about to learn a new side of an old subject and have a whole lot of fun in the process!”
– Prof. Corban

At the University of Mississippi, he teaches classes in the History Department and the Center for the Study of Southern Culture.
“How did World War II change the South? Or did it? Let’s find out this May in the classroom and on-location in New Orleans.”
