Dr. Neil Manson
Professor of Philosophy
namanson@olemiss.edu
Dr. Manson is a senior Philosophy professor with expertise in philosophy of science and environmental philosophy. He has published several papers in environmental philosophy, including "Formulating the Precautionary Principle," which has been widely cited and which was reprinted in a major philosophy of science anthology. He is also very familiar with Washington, D.C., having grown up nearby and having worked in the city many times over his career. As a returning Study USA instructor, Dr. Manson loves taking students to new restaurants while in the city. This will be his fourth time teaching this course with the program.
“The knowledge and practical applications that my students learn in two weeks is more than I could ever teach them in a classroom for a whole semester."
– Dr. Manson
