Student will meet from January 3 until January 7 in Oxford, followed by travel to San Antonio between January 9 and 14. The instructor will determine time and location for the Oxford meetings, including some evening classes.
This course will be of interest to students who are interested in pursuing a career in collegiate athletic administration, including compliance, educational support, marketing, and more. This program was developed for Law students; Law Studies and Health, Exercise Science, and Recreation Management majors; and students pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration, as well as students interested in public relations, finance, NCAA compliance, gender equity, and health.
To register for LA 421 students must have earned as least 24 hours and successfully completed LA 201: Introduction to Law. There are no pre-requisites to enroll in SRA 490 or LAW 631.
Students will make their own travel arrangements to and from San Antonio. Students should arrive in San Antonio by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9. Students can schedule their departure for anytime on Saturday, January 14. Travel in San Antonio, during the course, will be provided.
The Study USA program fee is $1,450. Included in the program fee are housing, convention registration at the student rate, and group meals. Excluded from the cost are tuition, most meals, travel to and from San Antonio, and personal spending money.
