While in Washington, DC, participants will:

Students will meet on the Oxford campus for the first week, July 31-August 4. Students will then make their way to Washington, DC, for the second week of the course, August 7-12.
This program is open to all student but would be of particular interest to writing and rhetoric students, Museum Studies minors, and Professional Writing minors. In order to enroll in either course students must have completed WRIT 102/LIBA 102/HON 102 or an equivalent second-semester, first-year writing course.
Students will make their own way to and from Washington, DC. While in Washington, group ground transportation will be provided.
The Study USA program fee is $1,150. Included in the program fee are housing, course-related ground transportation in Washington, DC, site admissions, and select group meals. Excluded from the program fee are most meals, travel to and from Washington, and personal spending money.

Outreach Study USA Scholarship
The Outreach Study USA Scholarship supports student participation in Study USA courses. Scholarship awards range from $500 to $750 and are designed to help offset the additional expenses associated with academic travel.
Carolyn Ellis Staton Study USA Scholarship
The Carolyn Ellis Staton Study USA Scholarship was established to increase access to unique experiential learning programs. These scholarships will help to make engaging educational travel opportunities more accessible to students with financial need. Scholarship awards range from $250 to $750 and are designed to help offset the additional expenses associated with academic travel.
