New Student Enrollment Process
Before applying to the Dual Credit program at the University of Mississippi, students must obtain approval from their high school principal and guidance counselor to take college classes and/or approve college classes for high school credit. The Office of Pre-College Programs encourages new students to apply for undergraduate admission and Dual Credit as early as possible to prevent delay of course registration.
Below are the steps students will complete for Dual Credit and processes to expect:
Step 1. Fill out an inquiry form.
Please use a personal email account, not a school affiliated email address, as most servers block external emails.
Allow 3 business days to receive your account set-up email invitation.
Start ApplicationStep 2. Finish setting up your account.
You will receive an email from umprecollege@myschoolapp.com with steps to create your Admissions Portal through our Blackbaud MySchoolApp system. From there, you can immediately view your admissions checklist.
Step 3. Complete your application and checklist items.
Our admissions team will have assigned your program’s checklist for you to complete before the program deadline.
The application will include standard questions (e.g., contact information, academic history, current GPA, etc.) as well as instructions to complete the UM Undergraduate application.
You will need to submit a current official transcript and school approval to determine admissibility to the program. To avoid admission delays, we recommend uploading these two documents within 5 days of creating an account.
Optional Steps:
For Children of UM Faculty and Staff (full-time only): Complete the Application for the Child of Faculty/Staff Award and submit it to the Office of Financial Aid.
For ISTUDY Courses: (after undergraduate admission) Complete the online Flex iStudy application process as a UM student using your UM login credentials.
Returning Student Registration Process
Students wanting to continue taking Dual Credit classes at the University of Mississippi do not need to reapply for admission and/or submit all of the Dual Credit paperwork again. Before registering for courses through Dual Credit, students must again obtain updated approval from their high school principal and guidance counselor to take college classes and/or approve college classes for high school credit.
