Join us for Media Mavericks, an exciting one-week summer program designed to captivate and recruit high school students into the world of journalism and new media. Hosted by the School of Journalism and New Media, this program is tailored to ignite creativity and passion for digital media innovation and community engagement.
Throughout the week, students will dive into interactive workshops and collaborative projects that explore integrated marketing communications, multimedia storytelling and ethical journalism. Guided by experienced faculty, participants will learn to craft compelling narratives and use digital tools to connect with audiences and make a difference in their communities.
Media Mavericks is more than just a learning experience; it is a launchpad for future media leaders. By the end of the program, students will have created a showcase project that highlights their newfound skills and insights, providing a glimpse into potential career paths in journalism, media, and communication. This project will serve as a foundation for further exploration and development in their media journey.
