How do courses work?

Online Course Design

The courses selected for ConnectUM dual credit are designed to meet the highest standards in quality and accessibility by University of Mississippi faculty. They are often fulfill course requirements for high school graduation and satisfy university general education requirements.

After you are admitted to the program, you will receive an email with information about our required orientation, as well as our optional co-curricular opportunities.

In most cases, ConnectUM courses will run asynchronously online, meaning that students will not meet at set times with classmates and instructors, enabling them to work at times convenient to their high school and activity schedules. Students must meet all deadlines set by professors and, in the event that they are not making satisfactory progress, may be required to meet in person with ConnectUM Success Coaches.

ConnectUM courses offer priority May registration to ConnectUM students, opening in summer to the larger undergraduate student body of UM.
